Adding to my early morning mood
A bird sings to the spring
Pink-white apricot blossom
My heart misses my lover
Timid birds on the white blossom
Sing a joyful song of life
Bright sun reflected on each petal
A teasing breeze greets the spring

New Year has come, the old year has passed,
A page of life has been torn out.
I ask myself quietly-
Where has the value of life gone?
I have passed forty years …
But have not yet achieved my desire.
I live stretching out my hand towards hope-
Placing myself close to my suffering people.

Quiet and solitary under the night sky,
Swimming alone towards the limitless universe.
Seeking my soul mate amongst the stars,
The birth of hope sears my heart.
Embarrassed, I met with the moon,
The moon girl greeted me, “Salam” she said.
Had she seen my melancholy heart?
Gently smiling she said, “Shall we talk?”
