In these years that pass by full of memories,
I lived on your streets with constant effort.
My hope shines like an ever bright star,
I will celebrate you today with flowers.
I love this life, this world so beautiful,
I live in the desert and dream of the oasis.
I wish to soar like an eagle,
I wish the blue sky for my homeland!

All that you see, you must tell them
Lonely Hemra left in this hut
Not dead but at peace, tell them.
Terrible troubles have fallen on my head
Food and drink are like poison to me
My eyes gouged out, abandoned in this hut
My companions like snakes and scorpions, tell them.
